"It happened in a miraculous way which I have been expecting for long, not that I woke up yesterday and decided to change my religion. By birth, I was half Muslim and half Christian. My father was Christian while my mum was Muslim. Growing up I went to church because of my father. I didn't have a choice at the time but I have always had interest in Islam so immediately my father died I switched over to my mum's religion. It is a religion I love so much. Also Aisha is now my official name though Liz is still my name and I will continue to use the name to do movies.

Okocha throws 40th birthday party for wife

Nigerian football legend Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha, threw a lavish 40th birthday party for his wife of 16 years, Nkechi Okocha on Friday October 25th at Civic Centre in Lagos. Maestromedia reports that Okocha gave his wife a brand new White Mercedez Benz G-Wagon SUV as birthday present. Eleven mysterious figures were spotted at Juventus Stadium in the latest of a bizarre sequence of unexplained football-related incidents across the world.

Dressed in black robes with intriguing symbols on their chests, the conspicuous figures sat behind the goal at the north end of the stadium in Turin during Juventus' 2-0 victory over Genoa on Sunday.

The gang made signals in unison during the match and they were also seen standing up in unison on several random occasions before returning to their seats.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has issued a public apology to Cristiano Ronaldo for disparaging remarks he made about the Real Madrid star.

During a debate at Oxford University over the respective merits of the Portugal international and Barcelona ace Lionel Messi, Blatter joked that "one spends more time at the hairdresser's than the other".

Fifa and France Football have revealed the 23-man shortlist for the 2013 Fifa Ballon d'Or, with title-holder Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery and Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo among the candidates to win the individual award.

In early December 2013, Fifa and France Football will announce the names of the three men who have received the most votes, without revealing the winner.

The winners of the award will be revealed at the Fifa Ballon d’Or gala as part of a televised show at the Zurich Kongresshaus on 13 January 2014. see list below.

President Goodluck Jonathan may have placed the embattled Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, on “tactical suspension,” findings by The PUNCH have revealed.

A reliable Presidency source said Jonathan decided on the “tactical suspension,” hours before the signing of the Bilateral Air Service Agreement between Nigeria and Israel on Monday.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation, Mr. George Ossi, had on October 24 told the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation that Oduah led a Nigerian delegation to Israel to sign the BASA.

The police in Lagos State have commenced investigation into how a nine-year-old girl died, after sustaining injuries caused by alleged consistent rape. According to police authorities, the deceased was raped over five times, by a 14-year-old student, Onyi Adimabua, in the Ikorodu area of the state. according to the PUNCH

The father of the deceased, Simeon Jigo, told PUNCH Metro that Onyi is the son of the proprietor of the school his daughter attended. He said his daughter opened up about the rape when she started having medical problems.
