Ah, juicing.
What seems like just another health fad may be sticking around longer
than you think. Juicing involves turning your oh-so-favorite fruits and
vegetables (think kale, beets, and carrots) into, you guessed it, juice.
While there are a variety of ways to turn these ingredients into
liquid, whether it’s by squeezing fruit with your hand or using
complicated equipment, the most common way of taking part of this craze
involves using a trusty juicer. While juicing has been recognized pretty
much everywhere, many celebrity circles are getting in on the action,
too. Wondering which famous Hollywood faces are partaking in this health
trend? Read on to see who they are!
Nicole RichieThe former party girl who allegedly had a drug problem and was called out for being scarily skinny quickly changed her life around once she became a mom. With her newfound devotion to being healthy, the Fashion Star mentor hits the gym with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson and makes frequent pit stops to famous Los Angeles juicery, Pressed Juicery. Now known for always having a green juice in hand, the fashionista boasts about how much energy juicing gives her, even as she chases her youngin’ around. see more
Blake Lively
Actress Blake Lively is no stranger to the juicing trend, even as she roams the city streets playing the part of a drama-obsessed teenager who always seems to get into trouble (Gossip Girl) and a druggy ex-girlfriend (The Town). When it comes to the star’s real life, however, she’s all about staying on top of the health game by juicing, as she’s been spotted getting juiced up at the famous juiceries of Liquiteria and BluePrint.
Colin Farrell
Seeing macho man Colin Farrell holding a dainty green cup of juice almost looks comical, but alas, it’s true. The actor is no stranger to carrying around a juice (or two) at once. Seems like the Irish hunk can’t get enough green in his life, but hey, if that’s what his body looks like post-juicing, muscular arms, toned abs, and all, we’re all for it.
Whitney Port
If you’re wondering where reality TV star Whitney Port has been, she’s probably been busy juicing. The tall blonde made an announcement on her blog in 2011 that her and her friend had recently discovered Los Angeles’ well-known Pressed Juicery, and that they were going on a basic juice cleanse which consisted of 6 juices for 3 days. Port let fans in on her juicing journey as she documented each day on her blog.
Gwyneth Paltrow
As if the 40-year-old actress’ body could get any more perfect, she decided to get it on the craze and go on a juice fast. While the fast only lasted a few days, the starlet revealed in a column she wrote for UK’s Telegraph that the cleanse caused her to hallucinate after 10 days. Despite her failed attempt, the blonde bombshell stays fit by working out regularly and eating a balanced diet.
